Stations of the Cross 2022- April 14th
Brother Francis Stations- Kids video on Formed
First Communion Candidates:
The E-U-C-H-A-R-I-S-T Song video: https://safeshare.tv/x/
Watch the video. Feel free to sing along!
What image/picture did you like best in this video?
Which letter-description was your favorite?
What does the Eucharist mean to you, personally?
What do you love best about Mass?
Do one or more of the following:
Make letters with sign language or with your body for E-U-C-H-A-R-I-S-T. Practice them and then play the song again, making the letters each time you hear a single letter. (It might be hard to keep up when the complete word is spelled quickly, but feel free to try!!) Another option is to make a sign for each letter. Then hold up the signs as the letters are sung. Work with a partner or two if you need some help. Eucharist is a long word!
Think up your own ideas about what the Eucharist means using the letters of the word. Spell the word Eucharist, starting at the top of the page and putting each letter underneath the previous one to spell the word down the page (rather than across the page) Next to each letter, write (or draw) a word/phrase to describe Eucharist that begins with the letter - just like they did in the song video. You might try with other words, rather than Eucharist, such as COMMUNION, MASS, or BREAD OF LIFE.
Memorize how to spell the word Eucharist. Use the song refrain to help you!
Use playdough to form letters and spell out the word Eucharist. (A simple playdough recipe can be found here: https://www.diynatural.com/
